Trendline offers a full suite of strategic, creative and technical services. As the demands of our client base grow, we are looking to expand our Analytics team.
A little about this role:
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming vast data sets into compelling and actionable insights. You will be working on everything from data management to insight generation and presentation. Analysts collaborate with account and platform teams to gain a deep understanding of campaign objectives and ensure analyses are valuable and relevant. Not only will you measure and predict performance, but you will also have the opportunity to work directly with clients and vendors to implement the resulting strategies. Our ideal candidate is comfortable both working with large datasets and distilling and communicating insights derived from data.
  • Managing complex dynamic reports in Birst and Excel and ensuring flawless day to day reporting
  • Generating and communicating clear, compelling and actionable insights
  • Gathering data through various third party platforms and analytics tools
  • Ensuring that reports are delivered to clients in a timely manner
  • Responding proactively to requests from clients and internal teams
  • Providing constructive feedback to continuously improve processes
  • Provide on-job training to more junior employees and interns
  • Presenting reports to clients during monthly and weekly phone calls
  • A BA/BS in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Management, Social Science or Business/Marketing related fields
  • A strong desire to learn and passion for both marketing and analytics
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a number of concurrent tasks
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed and able to set priorities
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Ability to clearly and professionally explain complex technical ideas and actionable insights to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Strong ability to work well independently as well as with other with others in cross functional teams
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including the use of equations and pivot tables
  • Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of email and digital marketing

Helpful Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Birst or similar cloud data tools (e.g. GoodData, Azure, etc.)
  • Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and JavScript
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.)
  • Experience with email marketing tools (Marketo, MailChimp, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc)
  • Familiarity with statistics packages (SPSS, SAS, R, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau and/or Birst (or similar software)
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • 1-2 years of experience in Marketing Analytics preferred
