Marketing Data Analyst

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming vast data sets into compelling and actionable insights.  You will be working on everything from data management to insight generation and presentation. Analysts collaborate with account and platform teams to assure a deep understanding of campaign objectives to ensure analyses are valuable and relevant. Not only will you measure performance, but you will also have the opportunity to work directly with clients and vendors to implement the resulting strategies. Our ideal candidate is comfortable both working with large datasets and distilling and communicating insights derived from data. This position is ideal for the individual with very little experience who has passion to learn and grow in a fast paced agency environment.

  • Managing complex dynamic Excel and Tableau reports and ensuring flawless day to day reporting
  • Generating and communicating clear, compelling and actionable insights
  • Gathering data through various third party platforms and analytics tools
  • Ensuring that reports are delivered to clients in a timely manner
  • Responding proactively to requests from clients and internal teams
  • Providing constructive feedback to continuously improve processes
  • Presenting reports to clients during monthly and weekly phone calls
  • A BA/BS in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Information Management, Social Science or Business/Marketing related fields
  • A strong desire to learn and passion for both marketing and analytics
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a number of concurrent tasks
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Strong ability to work well with others and work in cross functional teams
  • Proficient in Excel and the use of equations and pivot tables

  • Knowledge of email and digital marketing
Helpful Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and Javascript
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc)
  • Experience with email marketing tools (Marketo, MailChimp, Eloqua, ExactTarget, etc)
  • Familiarity with statistics packages (SPSS, SAS, R, etc)
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Familiarity with SQL and Tableau
  • Experience or coursework in Marketing Analytics preferred
