Solutions Architect


This is a highly visible and client facing strategic role. As our Solutions Architect, you’ll be working to provide technical implementation of various aspects of ESP solutions. We’re looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial technical lead who’s willing to roll up his or her sleeves and own our clients’ email programs. Our ideal candidate should be structured, detail-oriented, analytical, driven to get work done and have an eye for great work. This position requires you to maintain multiple email projects within multiple clients and communicate solutions to other members of the team both verbally and in written documentation. A client-work utilization rate of 90% is expected. This is a technical role, and though a Supervisor level, managerial responsibilities have been minimized in order to focus on the technical competencies required.

Individual Responsibilities
  • Conceive, develop and help implement solutions on various ESP platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cordial, Adestra, etc.
  • Maintain data integrity and manage data inputs for client marketing campaigns
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce Journey builder for omni channel marketing campaigns
  • Create business rules and queries to develop advanced segmentation or assist with analytics
  • Designing and coding unique landing pages, including micro sites and integrations to other systems
  • Serve as a technical contact for Trendline Interactive customers
  • Lead documentation process for solutions conceived and delivered by the Solutions Consulting team
  • Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations
  • Work in tandem with a Solutions Architect to ensure proposed solutions are valid and in clients best interest
  • Maintain a billable hour (utilization) rate of 90%
  • Maintain awareness of new marketing technologies
  • Own and participate in customer facing meetings
  • Owns the technical documentation process
  • Consult with client IT and other resources on how to best integrate 3rd party solutions
  • Consult with client IT and other resources on how to best integrate ESP with client data sources
  • Support Client Services teams in delivering technical demo’s, proofs of concept, and training for clients
  • Support Analytics teams in obtaining campaign data for use in Reporting system
  • Assist in the pre-sale process with prospective clients
Team Responsibilities
  • Provide project scoping recommendations to Account team
  • Technical Mentorship of Solutions Consulting team
Managerial Responsibilities
  • External Error Free Rate
  • Provide feedback to Solutions Consulting Director regarding Annual Reviews, New Hire Recommendations, and Promotion Recommendations
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Web Design and Development, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience
  • General Email Marketing skills
  • 8+ years experience in a sophisticated ESP platform (Adestra, Cordial, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • 3+ years experience with marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder/ Automation Studio, Pardot, Marketo, or equivalent
  • 3+ years SQL experience
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Exposure to API interactions and programming
  • Experience with at least 1 client side programming language such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python
  • Experience with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce or Web Analytics
  • Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed and able to set priorities
  • Professional in both verbal and written communication
  • A team player who also works well independently, thinks creatively, solves problems and takes initiative
  • An excellent and inquisitive troubleshooter/debugger
  • Provider of sound conclusions based on data, experience, and your own research
  • Willing to work on new challenges but remain focused on your regular duties
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely; flexible work day hours may be required depending on client needs/ timezones
  • Documented contributor to at least 1 data architecture schema
  • Documented creator of multiple dynamically populated email/ SMS messages
  • Documented creator of multiple automations in a sophisticated ESP platform, including:
    • File transfer
    • Data Import
    • Data Manipulation (if supported by platform)
    • Email Delivery
  • If operating on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, creation of multiple customer journeys, including supporting documentation
  • Documented contributor to at least 1 enterprise-scale migration
